About: Jason Coates

Jason Coates is the Public Policy Associate at the National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA) – the leading national organization working to improve the lives of Hispanic older adults, their families, and caregivers. At NHCOA, Jason focuses on policies related to health, housing, economic security, and empowerment and civic engagement. Before starting at NHCOA, Jason was a Presidential Merit Scholar at the George Washington University Law School and at student attorney at the Public Justice Advocacy Clinic. There, he represented low-income clients in employment wage and hour cases and in administrative hearings. He graduated from the University of Chicago with General and Departmental Honors.
